It should be played in this way:
a) Fripp and Belew play parts A1-B2 together, but in circulation:
1st note is played by Belew, Fripp plays the second note etc.
b) Belew plays A1 (all notes) while Fripp plays A1 a third (4 frets) higher
c) Belew plays A2. Fripp plays A2, again three tones higher - but:
He (Fripp) begins an eighth note later, but the last two notes
are played together with Belew, so the 15th note is shorter
(it's an eighth note):
